Launch of the Good Ship

We are thrilled to be able to announce, and warmly invite family and friends to, the official launch of the school’s brand new rowing boat – a coxed four which is to be named in memory of alumna Maureen Greenwood who died last year and left a generous legacy gift for the school’s extra-curricular projects – on Saturday 15 October, from 11.00am at the City of Cambridge Boat Club on the River Cam.

We will be wetting the bow of the boat before our student rowers do a row past in this fantastic new piece of equipment – setting the tone for this year's rowing programme. A second new, matching, boat will be arriving after Christmas and both boats will be housed in the school’s new, dedicated Boat House on the River Cam, which is being funded in partnership with City of Cambridge Boat Club and about which more exciting details will be revealed in the coming weeks! Coffee and pastries will be served so although the event is free of charge and open to all friends and family of the school, please do register to let us know you are coming so that we can provide sufficient catering.
