Every day at St Mary's is filled with learning, new experiences and friendship.

Our excellent wrap-around-care is led by experienced staff and offers real flexibility for busy parents.

New: Late stay until 8.30pm at Mary Ward House (Year 5 onwards)

Junior School

  • 'Before School Childcare' from 7.15 to 8.00am for Years 1 to 6 (not Reception) - provided in exceptional circumstances with at least 24 hours' notice. Parents must provide their daughter's breakfast, and the cost will be same as after school clubs.
  • Activities in our wide range of after-school clubs
  • Late Stay Club from 3.20pm to 5.00pm
  • Twilight Club from 5.00pm to 6.00pm as an extension to Late Stay Club.

Senior School

  • Early drop-off from 7.30am
  • Free homework club 4.00-6.00pm (Mon-Thurs) and 5.00-6.00pm (Fri)
  • After-school activities in a wide range of clubs

Sixth Form

  • After-Sixth Form activities in a wide range of clubs
Getting to school

To ease the school run, many of our girls use our excellent free minibus service at the start and end of their school day.

Junior School

  • Late Stay Club from 3.20 to 5.00pm - Girls are collected by a learning support assistant and enjoy eating tea together in the dining room. After tea, they can choose from different play activities prepared by experienced supervisors. If the weather is fine, we encourage outdoor play.
  • Twilight Club from 5.00 to 6.00pm to extend Late Stay Club.
  • Late Stay at Mary Ward House from 6.00 to 8.30pm for Year 5 onwards.

Simply complete an early arrival form for the Reception team and your daughter can arrive from 7.30am.

Girls arrive via the Senior School entrance on Bateman Street and sign in. Early breakfast (croissant and orange juice) is available for £1.00 in the dining room.

Sixth Form timetables vary depending on subject selections. Each timetable includes free lessons and independent study time.

Final lesson of the day ends.

6.00-8.30pm

Late Stay at Mary Ward House

Late Stay until 8.30pm at Mary Ward House for day girls

From Monday to Friday, girls can opt to stay late (6.00-8.00pm) at Mary Ward House, our Boarding House.

Years 5 and 6 (Junior School)

  • Girls are collected from Late Stay Club and escorted to Mary Ward House
  • Dinner served from 6.00-7.00pm
  • Collection by 8.30pm

Years 7 to 13

  • 4.00pm - Girls buddy-up with a Boarder at the end of school, to walk to Mary Ward House (unless they have an after-school club)
  • A snack is provided
  • 4.45-5.30pm - Years 7 to 9 enjoy a supervised, in-house activity (Tues-Thurs only)
  • 6.00-7.00pm - Dinner
  • 7.15-8.30pm - Years 7 to 9 supervised prep (Mon-Thurs only)
  • Collection by 8.30pm
