Welcome to Mary Ward House, where girls live happily in comfortable, modern accommodation, supported by a team of experienced boarding staff.
Mary Ward House is set in tranquil surroundings, close to the centre of Cambridge and to our Junior School, Senior School and Sixth Form.
The well-being and happiness of our girls is our first priority. Boarders aged 9 to 18 live together, creating a family-like atmosphere in which older students act as 'big sisters' supporting younger girls and helping them to settle in.
Girls live in beautifully furbished facilities, with comfortable bedrooms and spacious communal areas. Every day life at Mary Ward House is filled with fun, friendship and laughter; whilst allowing for privacy and quiet moments when needed.
Boarders make up around 20% of St Mary's School and join us from over 15 different countries, creating friendships that span the world. They love living in Cambridge, a culturally vibrant city, with a long history of learning.
Whilst boarding is busy and full of excitement, we encourage girls to stay in close contact with family and friends. Building a partnership with parents is crucial to us and boarding staff are regularly in touch with parents and guardians.
I warmly invite you to visit us to discover more about life as a boarder at Mary Ward House.
