Living at Mary Ward House and The Elms

We have created the best possible environment in which to live, learn and grow.

Home from home

The Elms

Just a 10 minute walk to the train station and main shopping areas, The Elms provides the best of both worlds - modern amenities but steeped in history - becoming a home for boarders of St Mary's from as early as 1906

The Elms provides single bedrooms and facilities for our Year 12 and 13 boarders. Set in the grounds of the main school, and with incredible views of the neighbouring University of Cambridge Botanic Gardens, The Elms is a tranquil, safe home from home which benefits from being in the main hub of the School, meaning that boarders can take advantage of all the on-site facilities such as tennis courts, music rooms and outdoor gym, while also being set far enough away that boarders have their own private space and room to study and relax.

Mary Ward House

Opened in 2017 and located in a quiet residential area in Cambridge, Mary Ward House is home to our Year 5 to Year 11 boarders and provides spacious student and staff accommodation, plus large communal spaces over a beautiful, three-storey house.

Located in a quiet, safe residential area within easy walking distance of our schools, Mary Ward House is a beautiful, three-storey property, set in substantial grounds. It accommodates 90+ students, plus our team of boarding staff who live in, caring for the girls before school, each evening and at weekends.

"The girls are given great moral and emotional support, with careful attention to their education outside the school setting. Our daughter, we believe, has really benefited from the routine, peer friendships and the excellent care you have provided over this term." Ms G. Parent
