Studying in Cambridge

Our girls enjoy living in the heart of one of Britain's most culturally exciting cities.

Our Junior School, Senior School and Sixth Form are just a five minute walk from Cambridge train station (only 45 minutes to central London).

We are within 70 miles of all international London airports – Heathrow, (allow two hours by car), Gatwick, Stansted, (30 minutes by train/40 minutes by car), and Luton, (one hour by car).

All airports are well-connected to Cambridge by coach or train. We offer a school taxi service for airport transfers and other travel needs

Our location

Inspired by Cambridge

Museums, theatres, concert halls, shops and the unique resources of the University of Cambridge are close by and we make full use of these in our curriculum and free time.

However, our surroundings are not all hustle and bustle. Next door to our Schools and boarding accomodation, Cambridge University Botanic Garden provides natural peace and tranquillity, ideal for study or contemplation.

Student outside King's College

Cambridge is an inspiring place to live. The city and University offer world-class facilities such as rowing facilities on the River Cam, the University athletics track and West Road Concert Hall.

Our students enjoy educational opportunities at the University of Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin University, such as STEM-related research labs and departments, plus connections with female undergraduates reading Mathematics and Engineering.

Through our Cambridge connections, we offer excellent work placements and engaging speakers visit us to share their experiences from a breadth of different sectors including: Addenbrooke’s, a world-class teaching hospital; Microsoft; the Science Parks of ‘Silicon Fen’; and the Fitzwilliam Museum.

More about learning in Cambridge

“Choosing St Mary's is the best decision we could have made. My daughters are both happy and thriving. Their love of learning is encouraged and fostered. Every day on our journey home I listen to my daughters chatting excitedly and enthusiastically about what they have learned each day.”
