From minibeast hunts to outdoor drama, science investigations and Woodland Explorers – our tranquil setting offers plenty of creative, outdoor learning experiences that are key to our Creative Curriculum.
In our school
We are fortunate to be located in a spacious setting close to the heart of Cambridge. In our school grounds there are plenty of opportunities to take learning outside. From investigating scientific phenomena in the spinney and sensory garden, to growing plants and examining insects and wildlife. Our outdoor spaces also provide a perfect backdrop for drama activities, group reading and artistic inspiration.
Every class enjoys half termly Woodland Explorers sessions, which aim to develop confidence, independence, teamwork skills and creativity through hands-on learning experiences in the great outdoors.
We are fortunate to be located in Cambridge, a city full of inspiring learning opportunities. We regularly visit local University of Cambridge museums, as well as venturing further afield to bring learning to life, recognising how valuable these experiences are for pupils. Activities include residential trips, environmental studies, sports and cultural activities.
