Sixth Form students EPQ presentation evening

Sixth Form students EPQ presentation evening

On 10 November 14 of our Upper Sixth Form students presented the topics they have focused on in their Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) studies. The presentations covered a diverse set of topics, including the role of graffiti, the music of Henry Purcell, differences in the social construct of gender between the UK and the USA, the love-hate relationship between society and punk rock, and the clinical use of dance therapy. The projects have given the students a structured opportunity to gain research and planning skills and to work completely independently on something that really interests them. The audience gained a fascinating insight into some unfamiliar topics, and the students demonstrated synthesis, analysis and evaluation of a variety of sources in their final projects. Well done to each of these girls on really impressive, and fascinating, presentations.
