Queens of international cuisine

On Monday the Senior School held its annual International Food Fair. All of the participants spent time on Sunday in school preparing dishes to celebrate a range of nations, which included delicious recipes such as Nigerian zobo juice and Swedish brownies, Chinese dumplings and Turkish baklava. The fair itself, which took place after school, included stalls representing 25 countries across six continents.

Some of the further afield countries represented were: Zimbabwe, New Zealand, Brazil, the USA and South Korea. Every stall boasted national recipes or traditional snacks, which could only be obtained by visitors through the playing of a game. At the same time there was Irish dancing and some very talented pianists and singers putting on an internationally-themed display. It was a wonderful celebration at which great fun was had by all.
