Winter Taster Workshop

Winter Taster Workshop

We would love to give your child the opportunity to experience some of our wonderful teachers and subjects.

On this day, your child can select to experience two subjects from the three listed below. Under each subject is some information about what each session is about to help aid your child selection.

Ethics

Come and tie your mind in knots in the Religious Studies department, where we will be picking apart some fascinating philosophical and religious questions! What does it mean to know something? What counts as ‘evidence?’ What is truth? Can science ever fully answer the question, ‘Where does the universe come from?’

After grappling with these and other endlessly intriguing questions, you will learn some very basic logic, and how to identify premises and conclusions in philosophical arguments. You might even learn how to apply these ideas to evaluate various claims. In short, as Mary Ward exhorts us, come and be ‘seekers of truth!'

Drama

Take part in an exciting Drama taster workshop where imagination meets adventure. Travel through ancient worlds and the distant future, create hilarious characters, and perform your very own time-travel story. Fun, fast-paced, and full of surprises!
