Year 5 take time to reflect on the world around them
Mindfulness, nature and community have been at the centre of Year 5's learning this week.
Starting off with Reflection Day on Monday, led by Ms Comyn, the girls learned all about the importance of community, working together and what they themselves contribute to those around them.
Year 5 spent the afternoon building their own communities out of Lego and natural materials and considered where they are and what they contribute to the community and how God is at the centre. The girls showed great creativity and analytical thinking in their creations, reasoning what they should and shouldn't include and why.
Year 5 have also enjoyed some nature brainbreaks and art lessons this week, including sketching what we can see in the garden that grows, breaths, flies and blooms to sitting and absorbing the wonderful sounds of nature!
