Year 4 create jars of positivity

Year 4 create jars of positivity

This week, Year 4 had their day of reflection. The theme was resilience, which seemed appropriate after the turbulence that we have all experienced during the pandemic this year.  We started the day working in small groups, with each group producing posters that represented their ideas and feelings about resilience. After break, Year 4 enjoyed a Godly Play session led by Ms Comyn based around The Parable of the Mustard Seed, which offered a period of time for reflection both as individuals and as a community.

In the afternoon, the girls created jars of positivity, which they filled with positive mantras, memories and quotes that they can turn to when the going gets tough. Finally, we tested our resilience (including that of the teachers!) by attempting to create origami cranes! It was more difficult than it looked and we plan to continue persevering through this task into next week!

As usual, we were impressed by the cooperation and positivity on display in Year 4 throughout the day.
