Year 12 finish their last Mandarin lessons by highlighting their creative flair!

Year 12 students were given the opportunity to choose from ten classical Chinese poems to work on their final project this year.

As a result, they demonstrated their abilities in forming the Chinese characters, then translated the poem into English with poem style (trying to make it rhyme). Finally they were required to paint/draw a picture which represent the meaning of their chosen poem.

With a combination of comprehension and writing skills, translation skill as well as art skill, many girls demonstrated excellent cross-curricula knowledge and showed creativity by using their own initiative to find solutions. They demonstrated their Agile, Creating,  Hardworking and Linking qualities in the task - all key elements of High Performance Learning.

An outstanding work from Mia Xu is attached.
