Year 1 plan and hold a wedding for the Owl and the Pussycat

Year 1 pupils have been busy this week planning the wedding of the Owl and Pussy Cat (from the poem by Edward Lear).

They began by writing invitations, then designed beautiful wedding dresses, worked out menus and recipes for a wedding cake that contained bugs and mice and other disgusting ingredients! 

They chose music and entertainment for the great day, which took place on Friday. We hope you like the photo taken by the wedding photographers Tehani and Alisa.
