Two A Level Photography students shortlisted for prestigious Khadija Saye Photography Award

Two St Mary's students have been shortlisted for the Khadija Saye Photography Award.

This award is named in honour of a former Rugby School boarding pupil and respected international photographer, who tragically died in the Grenfell Tower fire in 2017. The winner will be announced on 6 May 2021 in a virtual award ceremony and we will be keeping our fingers crossed for both of our short-listed students, Xiao W and Yao X.

The students both submitted a portfolio of work, which of between three and six original and unedited photographs, along with full details of each picture, where when and why they were taken, and supporting technical information.

After the winning success of Tia S in the 2020 competition, St Mary's is delighted to have two students on the 2021 shortlist. Yes She Can!

The Khadija Saye Photography Award is run by the Boarding Schools Association in memory of Khadija Saye, a rising star of the medium who died in the Grenfell Tower disaster. The annual Award is presented to a student with an outstanding photography portfolio at a state or independent boarding school in membership of the BSA.
