The Intermediate Maths Challenge results are in!

Every year, our students participate in the Maths Challenge— a 90-minute, multiple-choice test, designed to promote mathematical reasoning, precision of thought and fluency in using mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems. We have just received a brilliant set of results in our latest Intermediate Maths Challenge, taken by students in Year 9-11.

We were delighted that 18 students achieved a Bronze award. We would like to congratulate Niamh B. in Year 9 for her Silver award, which placed her ‘Best in Year’, and qualified her for entry to the Grey Kangaroo, a follow-on round to the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge.

In Year 10, Charlotte B., Chuge J., Hannah P., Isla T., Zoe W., and Yao X. achieved Silver awards. We are also delighted to report that Bianca L., Jasmine H., Sophie G., and Sonia W. achieved the highest award, the Gold Award, going through to the Pink Kangaroo round. Huge congratulations are due to Jacy T. for placing Best in Year with her Gold award.

In Year 11, Bella Chan achieved 'Best in Year', and we would like to congratulate Elizabeth G. for topping our school’s results with her Gold award, with an amazing total of 122. Elizabeth is through to the Mclaurin Olympiad stage on 17th March.

Congratulations to all of our students who took part! We wish you the best of luck in the next rounds!
