The Bedford Star Regatta brings in the medals for St Mary's

This weekend, the Star Regatta saw nine St Mary's crews head to Bedford to race schools from around the region. With Year 9 away on their DofE expedition, Year 8 and Year 10 stepped up to represent the School and did themselves proud.

In contrast to the National Schools Regatta, the Star Regatta is a traditional two lane regatta over 1,200 metres, with crews rowing through the heart of Bedford. After some strong performances, our crews came away with an impressive array of first and seconds place medals.

HIghlights from the day include these wins, and congratulations all round for a sterling display of determination and perseverance:

WJ15 2x 🥇 Emily R., Freya RS.
WJ15 1x 🥈 Leni JM.
WJ13 2x 🥇 Penelope RM.,  Alice C.
WJ13 2x 🥈 Juliet W., Emilia M.
WJ13 1x 🥈 Penelope RM.

Anyone can row at St Mary's. From our learn-to-row to our elite competative crews, we lay the athletic foundation that will take our students to the top of their ability and competing at the highest level, or simply enjoying the fun and friendly environment of our boathouse and being out on the Cam.
