St Mary's Teacher and Author Receives Recognition from International Bestselling Clinical Psychologist

While many of our students know Mrs Elizabeth Peck as a teacher and as founder of the St Mary's GO Club, she is also a published children's author whose book, You Can Tell Me Anything, has recently been recommended by one of the world's best-selling clinical psychologists.

You Can Tell Me Anything, which encourages open communication between children and trusted adults, has been highly praised by the internationally renowned Dr Lindsay Gibson, a New York Times bestselling author. When first reading the book, she declared:

"This should reach as many parents as possible."

This endorsement from a leading voice on emotional maturity and parenting reflects the important messaging at the heart of Mrs Peck's book, and its role in supporting children's wellbeing and the development of open, trusting family relationships.

Moreover, Dr Gibson's own recently released book, How to Raise an Emotionally Mature Child, is itself expected to be of great interest to parents, and in the back of it she recommends just three books in the 'pre-schooler' category - one of them being Mrs Peck's You Can Tell Me Anything.

To celebrate this recognition, Mrs Peck's publisher is offering members of the St Mary's community a 10% discount on You Can Tell Me Anything until 10 July using the code EDUC10 and this link. All profits from sales of the book will go to support EducAid Sierra Leone, a charity dedicated to improving educational opportunities for children and promoting girls' equality.

Mrs Peck's more recent book, Table Manners, is a thoroughly light-hearted and playful poem, written more to make children giggle than to instill good behaviour at meal-times! For a limited time, purchasers can receive the book's accompanying game cards for free by using the code TMCards and this link when ordering the book and cards bundle. Profits from sales of Table Manners will go to Jimmy's, a Cambridge charity supporting people experiencing homelessness.

As a school, we are incredibly proud to celebrate Mrs Peck's success as both an educator and an author. To have her work recommended by a New York Times bestselling author is a wonderful achievement, and one that reflects her commitment to supporting children and families both inside and outside the classroom.
