Our taster Workshops offer an informative and fun insight into life and learning at St Mary's Senior School. They offer a great opportunity to explore our facilities, meet teaching staff and to discuss any questions you may have with our admissions team.

Workshop 1: Leap into Latin (for girls in Years 5 and 6)

Join us for a fun-filled workshop and leap into the fascinating language of Latin.

• Explore famous Latin mottos and crests
• Get creative and design your own crest … what will your motto be?
• Put on your thinking cap for our fun Latin quiz

Workshop 2: Take on the Olympia challenge (for girls in Years 7 and 8)

Develop your problem-solving skills with a brain-teasing challenge from Ancient Greece.

• Explore a famous Greek tale depicted in the Temple of Zeus in Olympia
• Re-construct the tale using the sculptures that combine to form the Eastern Pediment
• Get creative and decorate the completed sculpture

Workshop 3: Kwik cricket

To me sport and physical activity have been a huge and beneficial part of life and have given me a lot of joy. In that respect, if I encourage young kids to become involved in sport that is something I would feel quite glad about. • During the session you will really enjoy learning how to play a new type of sport and having a turn at being a bowler, fielder, wicket keeper and batter.
