Junior School students are the first to evaluate prototype Python teaching resources

Over the next few months, our Computer Science Coordinator, Mr. Severy, will be working on a project to develop some brand-new online resources to help introduce the text-based Python programming language to children of Preparatory School age.

He was approached by 'Code For Life Education' (whose other resources he has used for many years in some of his Computer Science lessons) to help them evaluate their prototype materials, suggest improvements, and identify further areas for development.  He will be assisted in this by a small group of Year 6 girls, who have volunteered to try out the materials and provide feedback from a pupil perspective.

St. Mary's Junior School is the only Preparatory School in the country to be working on this project, and we are delighted to have our reputation for the highest quality Computer Science teaching and learning recognised in this manner by a national educational resources provider.
