Our setting

Beautiful and dynamic, safe and inspiring.

Located in the heart of Cambridge, our Junior School is set in beautiful surroundings on Chaucer Road. We offer a safe, secure learning environment that is dynamic and colourful; tranquil and inspiring.

Early Years - the Coach House

Our youngest girls spend much of their time in the Coach House, our dedicated Early Years home, which provides learning spaces crafted specifically for young children.

Class sizes are small, with around 20 children per class. This allows our caring Early Years teachers to tailor teaching to suit each individual girl. In Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, pupils enjoy playing together at breaktime in their own soft playground. Pupils also enjoy heading over to Acton House, our main Junior School building for assemblies and lunch, and to use our library, dance and gym facilities.

Years 3 to 6 - Acton House

Acton House is a beautifully refurbished Victorian home, which includes dynamic classrooms for our pupils in Year 3 to Year 6. It also houses our assembly hall and library on the first floor and a dining room, which doubles up as gymnasium, on the ground floor.

Outside space

  • Girls enjoy tending our sensory garden, which has dedicated areas for each year group to investigate and experiment with nature.
  • An outdoor theatre provides a natural backdrop and artistic inspiration for Drama lessons and theatrical performances.
  • A multi-purpose court is used for everything from netball and tennis lessons, through to imaginative outdoor play.
