Edinburgh visit for Sixth Form students

The aim of the Sixth Form weekends away, which take place twice a year, is to give our Sixth Form students an opportunity to visit famous British cities, which, apart from having wonderful history, architecture, food, music and attractions, are also great university destinations.

Consequently, last weekend, a group of day and boarding Sixth Form students flew to Edinburgh for a weekend of sight-seeing, accompanied by Dr Skrzypek and Mrs Bevan. The girls spent Saturday in Edinburgh city centre, walked up the Royal Mile, passed the Elephant Café (thought of as the birth place of the Harry Potter series), and visited the National Museum of Scotland where the girls met up with an alumna currently studying at the University of Edinburgh.

Following the success of the trip, Dr Skrzypek is now organising a Sixth Form weekend away to Belfast from 4 to 6 March. A letter has been sent separately to parents with additional information, but please note that the deadline for girls to sign up for this trip is 16 October.
