The Christmas Head - cold, fun and not at all Grinchy!
After the recent success of the Cantab’s Winter Head, Saturday 2 December saw the second race of the year for our rowers, with 11 crews racing across seven events. Including a fancy dress competition, the race saw a wide range of our rowing squads, from those experiencing racing for the first time through to our top squad, having a fun race.
Despite the cold conditions, the girls all acquitted themselves admirably and put down some promising times, with wins in WJ17 4x-‘s (Str: Charlotte C., 3: Esme L., 2; Olivia H., Bow: Leonie H.) and WJ16 singles (Joelle A.).
Next up for the racing squads is our winter training camp and then the Cambridge Winter League in the new year.
