Celebrating International Day of the Girl: St Mary’s Global Community of Empowered Women

As we celebrate International Day of the Girl, we are proud to shine a spotlight on the incredible diversity within our school community. For 125 years, St Mary's School has been a home to students and alumnae hailing from a remarkable 63 different countries across the globe, from Albania to Zimbabwe. What's even more remarkable is the wide range of professions they've pursued, breaking barriers in STEM, Art, climate advocacy, and more. Together, they embody the spirit of empowerment and excellence that this special day represents.

A Global Tapestry of Talent

Our school is not just a place of learning; it's a microcosm of the world. With students and alumnae from across the globe, our hallways are alive with diverse languages, cultures, and perspectives. This global tapestry enriches our educational experience and teaches us the value of inclusion, compassion, and understanding.

125 Years Celebrating the Girl

As we celebrate International Day of the Girl this year, we do so with an extra layer of pride and excitement, as it coincides with a momentous occasion in our school's history. St. Mary's School is celebrating its 125th year anniversary, a significant milestone that underscores our enduring commitment to empowering young women from around the world. Over more than a century, our school has been a beacon of excellence, nurturing the talents and aspirations of countless girls who have gone on to become leaders, innovators, and advocates in various fields.

Our students and alumnae are living examples of what can be achieved when girls and women are empowered, educated, and supported. They have proven that they can excel in any field they choose, breaking barriers and shattering stereotypes along the way.

In the spirit of International Day of the Girl, let us celebrate our global community of empowered women and work together to create a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
