St Mary's netballers take inspiration from England's finest

St Mary's netballers took inspiration at the weekend from none other than England Netball player Nat Panagarry, before taking to the courts in the GSA Junior Netball Tournament at Condover Hall, Shropshire.

After enjoying the range of adventure activities on offer at the hall, the girls enjoyed a talk from Nat, who is also captain of the Loughborough Lightening team.

A competition on the Saturday took place to group the teams and St Mary's competed in the plate tournament on Sunday, winning four out of their five matches.

Congratulations to our team - Rose L., Sarah A., Amelia R., Sofia M. and Georgie H. from Year 9, and Libby C., Rose A., Edie F., Eleanor H-W., Erica S., and Emilia D. from Year 8.

The results:

7-0 win v Heathfield School

6-1 win v The Marist School

3-11 loss v Channing School
