Visual and performing arts education continues to flourish at St Mary’s, with students journeying on to study related courses at leading institutions such as History of Art at the Courtauld Institute of Art, Textiles at Nottingham and Interior Design at Southampton, thanks to their stellar set of results.

The rest of our 2019 cohort are heading off in equally diverse and exciting directions including: Civil Engineering at Nottingham, Neuroscience at St Andrews, Actuarial Science at Manchester and Primary Education at Durham.

Emily Haworth who leaves St Mary’s with 3 A*s and 1 A, said: “The support I have had from teachers spurs you on. The Sixth Form often put on subject surgeries and always found a way to help. Teachers really know each student which is really special. It's like no other school that I could have wished for. I’ll really miss the community and my teachers.”

Ruth Taylor, Head of St Mary’s Sixth Form, Cambridge comments: “I’m thrilled to see our students embarking on such an array of inspiring career paths. I look forward to hearing all about their future successes.”

Charlotte Avery, Headmistress of St Mary’s School said: “As a School that welcomes a broad ability range and works to fulfil the potential of each student, I am delighted by our students’ excellent results, which are a testament to their hard work, as well as the commitment of their parents and our staff. Our class of 2019 leaves St Mary’s equipped with the skills and values they need to pursue an exciting and fulfilling life at university and beyond.”
