Trips and Visits

All children take part in a variety of field trips during the course of the year. Children in Year 4 take part in an annual three-day residential field trip and Years 5 and 6 have the opportunity to experience a five-day trip abroad. These trips are of historic, scientific, geographic, musical, theatrical or cultural interest.

Year 5 Visit OLEM
On Wednesday 25 March, Year 5 visited the Catholic Church in Cambridge: Our Lady and the English Martyrs (OLEM). They looked carefully at the architecture and design of the building as well as the artefacts within, to further understand the place of churches within history.

Form 5 Visit to Ingatestone Hall

Ingatestone Hall Visit
Form 5 visit Ingatestone Hall, a magnificent sixteenth century manor house in Essex as part of their study of the Tudors. The girls enjoyed exploring the hall and its collection of artefacts accumulated over the centuries by the Petre family.

A group of 57 Year 5 and 6 girls along with seven staff returned from an amazing field trip to the Bay of Naples in May. The days were packed full of sightseeing and exploration, mixed with much fun, Italian ice cream and shopping!

Form 3 girls visited Welney Wetland Centre near Wisbech in February as part of their Science studies. The pupils were looking at adaptation and migration of birds, particularly the Whooper swans from Iceland.
