The Maths Challenge results are in!

46 of our Year 11 and Sixth Form students took part in the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Maths Challenge earlier this month. The event attracts thousands of students from across the country, and we are proud to congratulate those who gained certificates and also those who are now moving on to the next stage of the challenge.

From Year 11, Isobel B., Lucy C. and Sally Z. received Bronze certificates with Mariana G., Iona S., Athena L. and Nayun K. taking home Silver certificates. Of our Sixth Form students Hebbe H., Niamh H., Dora S., Kelly S. and Emily H. received Bronze certificates; Sunny B., Sungmin S. and Jesslyn F. achieved Silver certificates; and Laura L., Rebecca L., Ruoxi Z., Tiayun H., Daniella O., Megan W. and Selena Y. achieved Gold certificates.

A special mention goes to Nayun K. and Rebecca L., who received the Best in Year accolade for Year 11 and Lower Sixth respectively, and also to Selena Y., who not only received the Best in Year (Upper Sixth), but also the Best in School accolade too.

Congratulations to all of the students who took the challenge, and we look forward to updating you on how a number of girls get on in the next stages of the challenge – the UKMT Maths Challenge Kangaroo stage and also in The British Olympiad, Round 1. Good luck to Selena Y., Megan W., Daniella O., Tianyun H., Ruoxi Z., Rebecca L. and Laura L.
