Year 4 celebrate World Religion Week with visit from Buddhist nun

As part of World Religion Week Year 4 have been studying Buddhism and were fortunate enough to learn about the religion and it's teaching first-hand through the wonder of modern technology - a Skype call to renowned Zen Buddhist teacher - Sister True Dedication.

Sister True Dedication is a British monastic disciple of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. She ordained in 2008 and currently lives at Plum Village Practice Centre in rural south-west France with the community of over 200 monks and nuns, so we felt truly blessed that she took the time to meet with our girls through to discuss Buddhism, meditation, and to answer any questions.

This was an amazing opportunity to connect with someone well known in the Buddhist community and our Year 4 girls came away from the talk feeling inspired and enlightened by her advice and conversation.
