More Les Miserables success stories!

We learnt before the half term break of Diya S.’s success in auditioning to be an ensemble cast member in the Cambridge Theatre Company’s production of Les Miserables – but we have only recently learnt that Year 10 student Rebecca G. will also be in the production – well done Rebecca!

Rebecca has performed in musical theatre productions around Cambridge since landing the role of Chip in Beauty and the Beast aged eight. She has numerous amateur theatre credits as well as professional TV credits as an extra in Eastenders, The Interceptor and Grantchester. She most recently performed in the whole school production of Little Shop of Horrors as Roxanne, and she is also a dance scholar. Just prior to Little Shop of Horrors Rebecca performed in the Cambridge Operatic Society's Annie (as did Diya S.) as orphan Genevieve.

The Les Miserables production will be directed by the same award winning director, Chris Cumming who is Choreographer at the National Youth Music Theatre. Rebecca was keen to work with Chris, and the Cambridge Theatre Company, again, and auditioned successfully at the end of April. There will be seven performances at The Great Hall at the Leys during the week of October half term and as a reminder, tickets will be available from Tuesday 1 August by clicking here.
