Rooms and Facilities
Bedooms
You are encouraged to personalise your room so that you feel at home, so do bring in your own colourful duvet covers, posters, etc.! In Years 7–10 you will share a bedroom with no more than four girls in each room. In Years 11 to Sixth Form, you will have your own attractive single bedroom. The rooms were specifically designed as study–bedrooms and include a built–in desk and vanity unit, shelving for your books, as well as the usual wardrobe and lockable cupboard for your valuables. Each room also has a network and broadband Internet connection.
Kitchen
In Years 7–10, you will have access to a small kitchenette with kettle and refrigerator. You may bring in food to be stored in this area but there are no facilities for cooking. In Year 11 and the Sixth form, you will have access to a fully–equipped kitchen including microwave oven, toaster, kettle and refrigerator and you are encouraged to make full use of this facility.
Showers and Toilets
There are showers and toilets on each floor adjacent to boarders’ rooms. These have all been recently refurbished.
Common Rooms
There are two common rooms with TV, videos and board games: one for Years 7 to 10, and another for Year 11 and the Sixth Form. You are encouraged to mix together during your free time.
School Facilities
As a boarder, you will also have access to school facilities during the evening. These include the Library, ICT room (with broadband Internet), Music practice rooms and Art studio. For recreation, you can use the Gym (with supervision), tennis courts and garden.
