St Mary's Boarding Considered ‘Outstanding' by OFSTED

St Mary 's boarding has received the highest accolade by the Government's inspection body, providing ‘an outstanding level of care to boarders' by an independent OFSTED (government's Office for Education) inspection undertaken in March 2008. More than one way to board

Although St Mary’s is primarily a day school, we have always had a significant boarding community and currently have nearly 70 girls in the boarding house. Boarding is a popular option at St Mary’s so early reservations are strongly recommended! In addition to full and weekly boarding, we also offer flexi–boarding (space permitting).

An education for life

As a boarder, you will form close and lasting friendships and a sense of responsibility, both for yourself and for younger girls. You will develop the tolerance and understanding essential in a community with a broad range of backgrounds and cultures. You will undoubtedly become a typical St Mary’s boarder — someone who is warm, friendly, open and confident, and someone who knows how to have fun!
