What's new is the appointment of new Headmistress, Charlotte Avery. Charlotte 's focus in her first year will be to build on the happy and successful integration of the Junior and Senior Schools , something she had considerable experience of as Deputy Head of Highgate School . We are delighted to be able to offer our special brand of all round education to girls from 4 right through until they leave the Sixth Form.
Already rated highly by our boarders, this year we will also see further development of the excellent extra-curricular and weekend programmes. Our diverse international boarding community enjoys a safe and secure educational experience in the centre of a remarkable University City , underpinned by the strong pastoral support of dedicated boarding staff.
Through extension and enrichment programmes, there will also be additional emphasis on identifying and providing opportunities for our girls to develop leadership abilities.
And what isn't is the wonderful ethos of St Mary's. We are a school with friendly and motivated pupils, caring teachers and a reputation for bringing out the best in girls whatever their talents and abilities. The broad curriculum, small classes and wide variety of extra-curricular activities throughout the school enables each and every girl to become the person she wants to be.
