Headmistress' Welcome
![]() |
Our aim is to educate girls for life. Examination results are important and our success in this area demonstrates that we take exams seriously, but we know that education is about so much more.
Education at St Mary's is about fostering a love for learning and the skills to be independent thinkers and doers; it is about thinking about others as much as yourself; it is about becoming well-rounded, confident and thoughtful; it is about participating in many different activities, even when you might lack confidence or not be particularly gifted in that area. And most important of all: it is about making friends who will be with you throughout life.
We realise that, for all families, making the right educational choice is crucial, and so we want to provide you with every opportunity to visit and be welcomed by us. Please contact Michelle Bottomley, our Admissions Officer, via the Admissions section of this web site: you are welcome to tour, have a taster day, or attend our Fun Workshops and Open Morning.
With warmest regards,
