Year 4 Viking Day

Form 4 came to school in their Viking costumes to experience what life would have been like in Viking Times with the help of Thorulf Hammrsson form Portals to the Past. (www.portalstothepast.co.uk)

They learned about the lands the Vikings came from, their longships, the Viking Kings and their battles, homes, food, coinage and much more. The girls thoroughly enjoyed their day, including the afternoon when the girls enjoyed a Viking game of strength and Thorulf was able to demonstrate how Vikings weapons and armour were used, ending a Viking Battle!
