With the help of some fellow classmates, Italian student Claudia P held a cake sale in May to raise money for the L'Aquila earthquake disaster that occurred in the central Italian region of Abruzzo on 6 April 2009. The magnitude 6.3 earthquake killed 297 people, injured more than1,000 and left 66,000 homeless, making it the deadliest earthquake to hit Italy since1980.
Claudia's cake sale raised £108 which will go towards helping the victims of the earthquake.
