A St Mary’s rowing crew competed in the Cambridge Town Bumps this summer with current Sixth Formers, exam leavers and alumnae members joining the team.
Despite not having trained together during the year, the crew put in an excellent performance and rowed better each night. The first night they "bumped up" having chased down a crew from the Cambridge 99's club and caught them by the gun sheds. This put them behind a ladies crew from Chesterton who proved to be too strong to catch on subsequent nights though the girls got closer each night.
Naomi L did a superb job of coxing the crew around the corners and Jenny K made all the right calls throughout the course.
Well done to the whole crew for a great performance.
