The Tempest

Posted in: Latest News

The open-air Summer Shakespeare production of The Tempest lit up June, with a cast of over 40 pupils from years 7 - 9 showcasing their considerable acting talents. Once again, parentswere treated to a wonderful evening's entertainment as they enjoyed their picnics in the brilliant sunshine. Our thanks are extended to the PTA who supported the production with a very welcome Pimm's stall!

The performance had a surprise twist with the play being set in the 1970s with fantastic costumes and several dances to popular70's songs including 'Daddy Kool' and'Boogie Nights'. The play was produced and directed by the Drama department with assistance from Roz Touhey who choreographed the energetic dance numbers. With three evening performances, the cast and crew of The Tempest had a very successful run and we look forward to next year's play.
