Ten brave teachers battled for glory in the annual charity all-male netball match on Tuesday (23 March) to raise funds for Lourdes Fundrasing Fortnight.
Armed with regulation St Mary's netball skirts, the teachers- including Dr Jackson, Mr Richards, Mr Mallabone, Mr Edwards, Mr Peachey and Mr Melville- showed a disregard to the rules of netball at the start of the match, prefering instead to throw in a mix of rugby and basketball. But with firm guidance from the Sport Department, they were soon back on the straight and narrow and cheers rang out as the goals started to flood in.
After a gruelling 20 minute showdown, the Green team emerged resoundingly victorious with four goals to the Blues' one.
Students and staff still have three exciting days of fundraising left, with the Dog Show and No Uniform Day some of this week's highlights.
