Running in tandem with Cambridge University's Science and Engineering Festival from 8 to 21 March, St Mary's has a programme of special activities and events planned for pupils.
Girls in the Junior School have been putting their engineering skills to the test this week by building structures from just newspaper and tape to hold a boiled egg aloft as high as possible from the ground.
In the second week competitions, such as one one to invent monsters, will be on the cards and students will also be making pendulums and catapaults.
Pupils from Years 5 and 6 will be attending a lecture on Fire and Flame at the Department of Chemistry.
All St Mary's pupils and parents are urged to make good use of the facilities available to members of the general public throughout the festival. Any one who would like more infomration on the events should visit http://www.admin.cam.ac.uk/sciencefestival/
