Four St Mary's girls are celebrating the fruits of their labour after great success at the Sudbury Festival of Performing Arts this week.
Megan W took part in the Solo Acting category (age 11 to 13 years) performing her monologue, The Resident Ghost, which she will also perform as part of her grade three acting exam after Easter. She came joint 3rd with 26 entrants taking part! She was awarded 87% and a Distinction.
Visitors to the annual event enjoyed a wide range of performances given by students from Years 7 to 11 and audience members said it was a delight to witness the confidence with which students delivered their various monologues and duologues.
Many of the performers had recently taken LAMDA examinations within School and the showcase provided them with the opportunity to perform their examination pieces in front of a large audience and to demonstrate their theatrical prowess.
