On Saturday 20 June, the Music Department descended upon the Cambridge University Concert Hall for their annual Summer Gala Concert. The evening featured excellent performances from all of our instrumental and vocal ensembles, as well as outstanding solo performances from some of our talented students. The audience warmly welcomed ‘Ruby D'amour and The Diamond Geezers' on stage in their West Road debut, and the evening concluded with a finale involving all of the evening's performers singing Abba's hit song ‘Thank You for the Music'. The musical feast not only gave performers opportunity to showcase their musical prowess, but also provided the Department with the opportunity to publicly bid a fond farewell to departing musicians.

"As usual it was a very varied programme and I thought everyone did brilliantly. Thank you both so much for bringing such life and fun to the St Mary's concerts. The children seemed to be smiling throughout and obviously enjoyed themselves."
