Reception Class Visit The Fitzwilliam

Reception Class visited the Fitzwilliam Museum to listen to the story of Sleeping Beauty told from paintings and sculptures. Reception visit the Museum each term to learn to look at the paintings closely. Story language, sequencing main events and discussion about the characters all take place. We also think about life in the past by looking at the clothes and vehicles in the paintings. The children were delighted to meet the life sized prince in full armour on his horse at the end of our visit!
