Olivia T, Year 13, has been presented with her prize and certificate as winner of the inaugural Dickens Essay Prize Competition.
The presentation for this national highly acclaimed award was made in full School assembly by Michael Rogers, from the Dickens Fellowship Council, and Adrian Barlow from the English Association.
Olivia’s essay entitled ‘To what extent is Dickens’ Hard Times a condemnation of society based on ‘fact’ rather than ‘fancy’? appeared in the Summer issue of the English Association's Newsletter.
