St Mary’s Sixth Form rowing crew raced for the first time in their newly refurbished boat this weekend at the Autumn Head Race run by the Rob Roy Boat Club in Cambridge.
The team achieved a creditable time of 11.37 beating 6 other novice women’s crews and were awarded glass tankards for being fastest in their category.
The crew’s new blades were also given their first outing in the race. These were generously donated by the School’s PTA at the start of this academic year.
Well done to all those involved in the race.
