Year 8 pupil Claire W is now officially Cambridgeshire's fastest runner within her age group after competing in the National English School Cross Country Championships in Manchester on 20 March.
She was placed 67th out of 339 participants for her age group within the race, landing her the coveted number one position for the county after she completed the course faster than any other runner from Cambridgeshire in her age category.
Claire also competed in Birmingham on 13 March, at the UK Inter County Championships where she finished 71st out of 305 participants.
