Sara R, Year 13, put in an exceptional performance at the Annual English Shotokan Karate Association Championships, returning home with three gold trophies.
Sara was awarded: the Adult individual Kata (form) Trophy - an open class of men with a few women, requiring 4 knock out rounds; the Adult Team Kata (form) Trophy in which Sara was again part of the English Shotokan Karate Kata Squad and required the three team members to perform their Katas together, perfectly in sync; and the Adult Ladies Kumite (sparing fighting) Trophy - this was a new category for Sara and the very first time she has entered, more for practice and experience and so to win it was amazing!
Congratulations to Sara for this amazing achievement, and we wish her luck for future competitions.
