Acclaimed Swiss composer Carl Rütti has complimented Allegro, St Mary's Chamber Choir, on their singing in the premiere performance of his Amen.
He writes "...It's great....the children's choir is so lovely to express Jesus' voice - I think better than a soloist would be. And you performed the music with lot of excitement and on a very high level. Thank you so much."
Allegro were invited to join the Fairhaven Singers and their conductor and St Mary's Musician-in residence, Ralph Woodward for a one-off concert in November 2011.
The Autumn Tones concert saw Allegro singing a challenging repertoire including a section in the world premiere of a piece by the Carl Rütti, which was written especially for the Fairhaven Singers.
