Confirmation was celebrated on 28 June in the local parish church, Our lady and the English Martyrs. Twelve students from St Mary's were confirmed by Bishop Michael, bishop of East Anglia. They had been preparing for several months alongside students from other local schools.
Bishop Michael challenged them to be 'living witnesses to the presence of Christ' in their schools, their families and friendship groups'. Miss Avery invited all students who have made a commitment to their faith during this academic year to a celebratory tea party on Wednesday, 20 June.
