The enrichment programme at St Mary's includes a wide range of guest speakers giving ‘More Than Just a Talk' to pupils, parents and the wider community.
In the past year, the visiting speakers have included former St Mary's Biology teacher Merrilyn Coates, who came in to talk about her experiences with an expedition on Mount Everest; staff and students were treated to caricatures when the cartoonist and journalist Matt Buck came to give a talk on his work.

Richard Heath, legal counsel for Unilever, gave a fascinating presentation on counterfeit goods across the world. Former Head Girl Emily Reid spoke about her time at Oxford University and her gap year in Thailand. Professor Orlando Figes, a specialist in Russian history from the 18th century onwards, also visited to talk on ‘Life Under Stalin'.
